I am familiar with e.e. cummings so it did cross my mind that the small "i" did not necessarily mean anything. However, in handwriting, to write one's name in smaller letters than the surrounding words - which is of course done subconsciously - does usually mean that the writer suffers from low self-esteem. So I thought prehaps the small "i" might have been used in a similar fashion in type, as the rest of her post was, as far as I can remember, grammatically correct. Of course you are right, this might merely have been an affectation.
I certainly didn't mean to ruin the thread, I only pointed this out because of the vain hope that there was some indication that the poster is feeling particularly low and in need of help. While there is a vast limit to what any of us can do for another member, many posters are quite liberal with their advice and support. If only we could be so kind to ourselves!
