I'm not sure why, but lately I've been of diminished intellectual capacity... Things that I used to understand quite well are now taking me much longer to grasp.
When reading, the words get jumbled and I find myself reading the same sentence over and over again. I'm taking a "college level" algebra II course, the same class I aced with ease in 7th grade (which was more advanced than this one!), and I'm having trouble with simple arithmetic! I've always had trouble with school (even though I was in the accelerated and, later, AP classes); I only passed classes because I was able to ace tests. Now, my short-term memory & thinking has deteriorated so much that I can't even do that.
Perhaps it's from my medication (cognitive blunting is a possible side-effect from Nardil, but I think this was a problem even before starting it). Perhaps from my lack of social interaction -- I speak, on average, about 5-10 words/day. From depression or ADD? If so, is it reversible?
I look at things I've written years ago, and I can hardly understand them (or remember writing them). I'm afraid that by the time I reach thirty, I'll be even worse.
