I wanted to post this messge because it intrigues me as to how people with social phobia survive in prison. Often I have read that there are "gangs" in prison. These gangs will often test you on the first day and if they see that you are weak you will become a victim of abuse, violence and prison rape obviously because normal sexual activity is denighed.
You could assume that the person/s with social phobia would inevitably be treated with counselling, psycotherapy and/or drug treatment. Yet if anyone who knows Dr-Bobs site it aint easy, by any means, to combat a mental illness.
I would like to discuss more about this.
I put it to my counsellor who said that often people(the Social phobics) in such circumstances are sectioned, which places them, perhaps in to a more awful environment and others will develop psychosis.
It is very sad because people with social phobia can be very nice people, an extreme form of shyness that makes people yet with any mental illness, in the end, something has to give and inevitably there are consequences . Yet flipping the coin what choice does socity have.
