I am enjoying watching the newer sports, like snowboarding in the halfpipe. Wow.
I enjoy the ski jumpers, too. And I must say that the commentary during the jumps was helpful to me because for the first time I understood how they push off the ramp and into the air and how that can make or break a jump.
Usually, I am the one griping about too much talking from the commentators and not enough sports to watch. I still have that complaint. There are too many damn commercials and too much fluff! Bring on the sports. And what is with only showing a couple of hours during the day on weeknends? Couldn't the world of sports have planned ahead and timed the allstar game for after the olympics? And can't we forego a bit of nascar for one weekend or two every FOUR years?
The moguls are pretty amazing, too, though my knees hurt just watching! And I cringe hearing the commentators tell us so-and-so has had 3 knee operations and so-and-so has had six knee operations. Jeez. They must really love what they do! Are there any old mogul skiiers yet? Wonder how their artificial knees are holding up?
