You are so right-I've always heard though that blues are supposed to be calming, etc... However, I personally think that each person responsds to colors in their own way. Like red-alot of people relate to it as 'energetic, sporty,' and whatnot. I hate it, I relate to it as an angry color.
Just my two cents worth> I see none of these colors have negative connotations. I've noticed that when I'm depressed I tend to decorate and buy clothes, etc., with dk blue. In fact, I see that as a sign that I might be slipping.
