Boy, can i relate. THo, my dx is not depression, it was for 12 years, now bipolar 2, tho my main pdoc says he is not convinced, old pdoc had thrown up his hands, I had been on prozac for 5 years or so with great results and then it stopped working, tired other things, serzone... anyway. enough rambling, getting to the point: CAN YOU get a second, third fourth opinion? Sometimes research places are good. are you connected to the site FyrenIyce in Australia?

State-side, Susan C.

, > My doc throws his arms up in the air and says he has no idea (as I have been on just about every AD). My specialist suggests if Cipromil (been on for 4 weeks now) doesn't work, will have to try Parnate or similar. Prior to Cipromil, was on Tolvon (Mianserin Hydrochloride) for several months and it never kicked in, and prior to that Auroxic (Moclobemide) x 900mg per day, that did work for a fair few months, but gradually became infective, so they propped it up with Li, which did nothing but create some bad reactions.
> I have read some of the posts here about Parnate (and Nardil??), seems to be effective for some.. It would be real nice just to have a window of relief for a while, so any suggestiosn would be greatly appreciated.
> I am in Australia, so not sure if the trade names of various drugs as the same worldwide or not.
> So has been since about last Nov (2000) since I have felt any relief from depression, or that is when I realised that the Auroix has ceased being effective.... Any suggestions? any new drugs ??
