> 1. Do you have a problem with internet addiction?

no, internet is a tool, like a hammer, if i was a carpenter i wouldnt have a hammer-addiction, nor do i have a car-addiction because i use a car everyday... think of it like this.

> 2. How many hours per day do you spend on-line?

my system is -always- online, like a refriderator that always keeps my food nice and fresh... one machine i own has been running for the past 22 days straight... i use it to look up words when im writing... to read articles... my calculator isnt always on but i use it to add numbers... see #1... i use a computer at work and at home, its ubiquitous, like toasters...

> 3. Where do you spend most of your time on-line?

i try not to think of the time i spend, i do what i like then i move on to something else... maybe i will compose a piece of music in cubase, but im still using a computer... then i'll read a book, but then im -still- not interfacing w/ another human being... maybe im talking on the fone, but then still im just getting a digital version of that person on the line... we spend -most- of our time interfacing w/ machines... this has been like this for a very long time...

> 4. How long does it take for you to answer your e-mail?

i only send and receive email w/ a few choice friends and each letter takes an appropriate amount of time depending on how wordy it is... some people i prefer to contact via email, but email isnt my life... i dont send chain letters or links to jokes but email is another good tool...

> 5. Are you a "chataholic"?

irc reeks... irc ops who are self-absorbed ego-freaks who kick people for the smallest offense... irc is like net-masturbation for most of the ops that ive seen... some good some bad... other sites hand out op's and +v's like it is some kind of acolade... its very clique'ish as well... you need to spend a lot of time there before you become a 'regular'... generally its a big waste of time... any time ive been in a chatroom ive felt my life slipping away a minute at a time...

> 6. Do you utilize the "newsgroups"?

only to download the scads of free things availalbe if you know where to look... newgroup discussions are generally plagued by flames and misinformation....

> 7. How many on-line support groups do you participate in?

exactly one that i know of, this one.

> 8. How much time do you spend surfing the "worldwideweb"?

how much time do we spend reading, or watching television, or anything... i think if you do anything obsessively than perhaps there is a problem... we should all realise by now that we are living in an electronicly connected society... its no more real for me to pick up the fone and say hello to someone than it is to voice chat with them over the net... and email and mailing lists and chat boards etc etc... its just a -different- means of communication, and if people are abusing it, or over-using it, its because it affords them ease of access and features not previously present... we have to look at our -own- pathologies as persons rather than the internet... i mean, if someone is spending hours in a chatroom a day, i can bet you money that previously they werent spending hours outside taking a walk, or meeting with friends... its an associative dissorder, not one that is present simply because the internet exists.

> 9. What do you use the internet for?

information, communication, distribution and collection... a perfect digital tool...

> 10. What are your priorities?

i wrote my own here in no particular order

- peace of mind, sanity...
- human connection/love
- enlightenment
- artistic creativity
- mind bending sexual experiences
- finding a copy of "the bends" by radiohead on the "lp" format...

> 11. What is most important to you?

for the networks to bring back "the cosby mysteries" so they can then cancell it again (it deserves a second spanking...)

> 12. How important is it?

not that importatant... really i want to look into someones eyes and see starlight burning so hot that it consumes you... love completes your life...

> "When your daily activities line up with your highest priorities you will find peace."

so if i use drugs, and those are my highest priority, then i should be happy if i use them every day right? we can only truly be happy when we realise true compassion for every living thing... when we seperate ourselves from the ego, when we let go of our restless wandering minds, when we realise the god within ourselves and then can we stop being born again, and we will reach nirvana.

PEACE!
