Don't worry, Cam, I knew you were kidding around, but I thought I'd "educate" you about why it does matter.
This election is dead serious, even without these ballot problems. If we have 4 years of Bush, it isn't just a matter of 4 years. We have several older Supreme Court Justices who are likely to retire soon, and Bush will appoint new justices. This could profoundly affect our country for a very long time. His position suggests that he would appoint constitutional literalists whose decisions could set civil rights (minorities, women, the disabled) back tremendously.
But the balloting problems are a non-partisan problem, IMHO. We cannot allow 19, 000+ people to be left out due to poorly designed ballots. And, I cannot accept a president elected on the basis of this disenfranchisement.
