Medlib,
I'm so sorry I haven't been able to respond before this. Trigeminal neuralgia/migraine pain seem mostly under control after 4 days in the hospital for IV meds. But it didn't last long before I was assaulted by pain from a bulging disc in my neck. The pain is almost as bad as the head/face pain was but is accompanied by weakness in my right hand and arm. Very scary to a right handed quilter. Can't get any answers as to whether the loss of movement and sensation in my fingers will be permanent. Pain is also very poorly controlled so the temptation to put and to it myself is very strong.
Can't find a Neurosurgeon any place within 6 hours drive who can see me before the end of October, and the suspense is literally killing me. I'm so tired of the pain draining away all of my meager supply of energy. The therapist's advice to not quilt, read, or use the computer has left me with way too much time to hurt and worry.
Desperately, Quilter
