I am thinking of all the doctors, particularly, that we hire from overseas who have been struck off various registers for sexually abusing their patients and gross incompetence and negligence and so on.
Their applications get processed, strangely enough. They get job offers, strangely enough. They get put in positions of power in our hospitals, strangely enough.
I can only suppose that the reason why their applications are processed (whereas other competent and registered applicants do not get their applications processed) is becuase of some kind of bribery.
Either they are working for no pay (so forgoing their salary) or, something like that. Something along those lines. ANd the DHB has leverage over them that they can fire them on a whim whenever they want. They can say 'oh, we looked into that person a bit more and discoveredt that actually they printed up their Medical Degree on their home printer and they never trained at all' or 'oh, we discovered that their medical lisence was revoked' or 'oh we discovered that they are supposed to be in home detention in a different country' or whatever... Whatever...
In exchange for...
A doctor who is never going to report that the hospital is violating health and safety regualtions. who is never going to complain to an accrediting authority. maybe a doctor who is never going to prescribe any medication (likely doesn't have a number of whatever in order to do that anyway).

Apparently many tons of medical supplies are coming here, from China.
They are being watched under armed guard in China until they leave the country.Then what will happen to them?
I wonder if they will microchip various things to see where they end up.
