He lived in Okemah, Oklahoma and that is where the festival is. I've seen his house and heard the town council's talk on Mr. Guthrie.

The town finally came around and accepted him for the genius that he was and now the festival is a celebration of his music and life.

I think that what they grow in Muskogee had something to do with it.

I'd love to see the CD. I'll have to look it up in Hastings the next time I visit San Marcos.
