there is a distinction between
prohibiting religion
and
being free from religion
people are free to use alchohol in their own homes or in designated areas (pubs, clubs etc)
but they aren't free to drink on the streets (technically)
similarly
there would be a difference between saying people are free to worship as they will in their own homes or in designated areas (churches, community centres or whatever)
as opposed to prohibition altogether.
personally...
i don't have trouble with people praying / meditating or whatever on the streets and stuff...
but when people are required to pray i have trouble...
i do.
