perhaps no less sane, or sober, but more calm. Her children's services were in my daughter-in-law's church. I just fired one of her psychiatrists. I was raised in a religious cult. I've been in some of the same institutions and courtrooms as her. I never bought her story from the first time I heard it. My judgment. Also the judgment of the first jury. A corrupt and incompetent expert witness makes us do it all again. She was better off where she was than to sit through the whole trial situation again. Mothers killing their children is just another murder. Every murderer has a reason and every murderer is somewhat insane. I truly believe that. I get angry when we make distinctions that seem to be based upon age/race/class/access to diagnosis of perp or victim. If I'm willing to kill myself for what I've done, then people who've done worse should step up.
