greenpeace are a morally serious group.
they are taken seriously.
they go about things appropriately.
they back themselves up with research.
they distance themselves from more radical activists.

the green party came from there...

got a few seats in parliament.

a fair few people thought they were a good influence on labour. gave them a bit more of a social / environmental conscience.

but of course...
if you are putting money into welfare and health and education...
the economy is going to suffer (esp short term)
compared to if you cut back on that and do what you can to support business / trade (and screw the cost to society / the environment).

we were lucky to get labour...

but there is a strong conservative influence.

the govt. wouldn't give labour a confidence and supply vote (control of the budget) if there was a labour - green alliance.

so...

the greens are still fairly independent i guess.

they have a voice.

but how can you compare with profits?

i mean, really...

?
