Declan, sorry about this but I'm Irish. And am a devotee of Northern england mysteries. took me a coupla years to figure out what "crisps" are.
Seems like all English detctives live on "crisps" and single malt whiskies.
I, exercising my privlege as a manly-man do not trust anything aged in oak. Costs to much, and is full of tannins. Anyhow are you talking about "Trains-spotting" and that chick flick of which the name I can't recall.
Please send me some recommendations re: northern English flicks. My wife has me watching "Monarch of the Glenn." Man, but I'm a decent husband. Worse I'm starting to like the stuff.
But Northern England sounds a great deal like Bridgeport Connecticut, Known to the cognoscenti as the "armpit of Long Island Sound."
Anyway, I enjoy your posts. Should I? Am I approaching hypermania. when I feel good I'm hyper manic. When I want to eat my shoes, I'm normal. Please recommend some "northern English flicks" Hetty Wainthrop excluded, please.
regards, Cockeyed.
