Just *think* about how important tax money is: build schools; infrastructure, roads, etc..; provide police, fire, ambulance and in many countries, like mine, all medical services; they contribute to governmental non-profit research in so many areas; they look after the old in nursing homes; they make sure kids are treated properly via Children's Aid societies..oh and on and on.
Hey...you where looking for a way to apply your knowledge...what don't you consider a career in social work? You seem to have the right set of values and social outlook. Seriously....think about it!
