Political unwrest in Canada
Our Canadian politicians are "wresting" the scriptures, and I fear the outcome.

Have our politicians envisioned the outcome of re-defining marriage? What about the outcome of offending God? If we mock the sanctity of marriage by re-defining it, we mock God.The institution of marriage was the first government organization on earth with Adam and his “wife” Eve.
http://scriptures.lds.org/query?words=adam+wife&search.x=33&search.y=9&newsearch=ok&OT=1&SM=1I suppose there are primate forms of government in the wild that still exist but I prefer humanistic, and though a world evolved where man could exist, I believe man in the beginning was the same as we are today. Our government's proposal is less than primal.
Functional marriage between a man and a woman was established as an institution of virtue to perpetuate the human race and protect the children. Virtues of love, sacrifice, morality, kindness, responsibility, accountability, integrity, honesty, can best be developed within its framework.
God set up the system and then miraculously watched over as prophets wrote and others kept safe the record of nations that survived and fell. Politicians can choose to ignore history if they want, but God apparently is keeping notes.
People have the right to choose how to live their own life, and also the consequences. I don’t think I’m being judgmental by stating that I don’t want our government to change my definition of marriage.
How can we teach our children the virtues that preserve the family when the definitions change?
