I was put om 150mg Effexor for depression which had been diagnosed as the root cause of my sex and love addiction. It did not tke me long to feel the benefits and, for over 4 months things were fine and I was no longer lying or acting out and had an altogether better pereception of the world.
Without consulting my doctor I stopped taking the drug "cold turkey" and started to notice slight memory loss (I though it was the beginning of Altzheimers as I am 65) and a marked dificulty in performingmental tasks that previously were bread nad butter for me such as mental arithmetical calculations. I also noticed more frequent feelins of anger and times of what I described as "emptiness"
My partner went away recently and I was alone for three days during which time the emptiness and loneliness returned with a vengeance so that I started to act out by surfing the internet and, ultimately weaving a web of such deceit that it scared even me when I reflect on it in
cleare thinking moments. Today I am returning to my doctor amd hope he will be able to do something as I have nigh on destroyed my life and the lives of those I love most.Has anyone else experienced these kinds of effects? Please let me know as I am at my wit's end. I hope it's ok to give my email address which is marcsum@mts.net
Thank you

> From the Dr Bob homepage there is also some info about certain medications and I think there is some info on Effexor that you may want to check out. You may also want to have a look at the main Babble board which deals with medications (aside from issues with withdrawal).
