I received an e-mail this weekend that apparently bounced through the Dr. Bob servers as the mail was addressed to both his edu addy and the org addy. This piece of mail was addressed from a blocked poster.
I wrote to Dr. Hsiung regarding this matter. His response could be interpreted that he lacks belief in this possibility. In fact I think the gist was "it doesn't look like it was sent to you at all."
I'm glad my ISP takes this type of unwelcome intrusion more seriously than the administration of this website.
Did anyone else receive spam this weekend from a blocked poster? Saturday morning I received an e-mail in a hotmail account that I used to use as my registration addy here. I used this addy in PB Open as well for years but recently unjoined so it shouldn't be available unless someone has access to the addresses for registration here, right?
Anyone have any ideas as to what happened to make a mail appear to have come from a poster and mailed to THIS site's addresses YET show up in MY hotmail inbox??
Thank you to any computer whizes in advance. This is no laughing matter and will be dealt with through the appropriate channels (Microsoft, my ISP and eventually the administration here as their addys were on this mail)
