Everything I have seen (I'll admit to spotty research) says nearly every AD is about 30-35% effective in completely relieving depression. Not a very impressive record. What doesn't get into the research papers is that the 30% may consist of different individuals for each drug. E.g., Cymbalta works well for me despite its poor showing in aggregate statistics, while Effexor drives me up the wall.
