Hi, Stewie,
Like you, I have a nasty anxiety disorder. I tried Adderall XR for about a week last year; the first time I had tried a stimulant. It definitely had a subtle, mood-boosting effect for me. All that I can say is that it was much easier for me to talk to people throughout the day, and I was not ruminating about my anxiety/depression as much. However, on the downside, when the drug wore off, usually around 7:00pm if I took it in the morning, there was pretty intense rebound anxiety, with a very strong racing heartbeat. There was also: incredible thirst, limp d*ck, and the need to up the dose to get desired effect, even after one week. But my "trial," if it can even be called that, was perhaps not long enough to draw any deep conclusions. I would totally give it a try if I were you. Nothing much to lose. Not hard for me to stop at all, even after a week.
