Nortriptyline is much better than most tricyclics for weight gain, I took 75mg at night for 2 years and didnt gain more than about 2kg.

I'd give it a try and see how it goes. It only causes you to gain weight by making you want to eat more, so if you're careful with what you eat, and take a brisk walk for half an hour a day, you'll be fine. The daily walk will also be good for your depression.
