yea thanks byrn
recovery is difficult to see because there are alot of people who do fine for years and then fall back. Their are a few people who have made it clear they will never use again, and they never have. It's the dormant desire to escape, or alter the way someone feels because they have poor regulation of their own mood, resorting to substances to do it. I know people who have lived happy with nothing, no antidepressants...they just have a regulated nuerotransmitter system....and have rewards in eating, socializing, you know people who always say their high on life. Still me...mm mm i hate being with people who are high on life because makes me feel like an underdog...and make comments of wanting to get drunk after being around them. Structured recovery that is forced is like going to catholic church and being forced to live by their rules...there's alot of rebels...same thing in the substance relm. But yes...12 step programs are hard for me to see as a way of living life...because its all centred of going to meetings your whole life...not focused on seeing the wonders of the world...get what im saying?
anyways thanks!! love the suggestions...
