Ritalin helps calm many people. I sleep much better on it. I don't wake up during the night and toss and turn a lot less. In a sense, it shouldn't matter whether you have ADD or not. If a med helps and doesn't harm, then it makes sense to take it. Ideally, the decision to use or not use a medication should be based on its effectiveness, not on the diagnosis.
