Hi:
>>> Wellbutrin XL(300mg), Strattera (160mg), Keppra (1000mg), and Geodon (120mg). Things were wonderful after only 3 days of taking the additional meds on top of Zoloft and 10-20mg Adderall.<<<--- You've been on 6(six) different meds. for your Bp II. In my case, I have Bp II with ultra rapid cycler which is supposed to be one of the hardest Bp II in terms of tx. However, I've been fairly stabilized for the past two years. My med. combo. consists of Zyprexa 5 mg., Lithium 900 mg., Nefadozone 300 mg., Wellbutrin SR (from 200 mg. to 300 mg. depending on my dep.) and Trazodone 50 mg. for sleep, dep. and anxiety.
In my guess, .... you've been TOO much 'stimulants,'... three, WB, Adderall and Strattra which might have some 'interaction' problem. Normally, on Bp II, you need, a mood-stabilizer, anti-dep. and one of two, ... anti-anxiety, sleep-aid. If this comgo. does not offer any 'relief,' then most of pdocs. add anti-psycho. med., such as Zyprexa, Risperdal, Seroquel and few more newer A.P.s.
Or, your case, Bp II has some complexities for the pdoc. to deal with, ... partly your system/brain seems NOT to accept 'foreign' substances, psycho.-meds. However, in my opinion, those three stimulants and even one of SSRIs, Zoloft shouldn't be in your system in the first place. Because, those meds. have a tendency to get you into 'hypomanic.'
However, in your long-history-experience on psycho.med., you must have accummulated a plenty of knowledge in regard to psycho. meds. BTW, is your pdoc. one of 'best' pdocs. in the region where you live? Because, your Bp II seems NOT a serious form, however your tolerance on meds. have a lot of problem. Then, your pdoc. probably needs some reserach in order to rx for the case like yours. WB is a good A.D., however it does not help the depressive side of Bp as you expected. Rather, this med. is good for 'concentration' problem brought on by the depressive side of Bp. I take the WB sr, Nefadozone and Trazodone combo. for my dep. and a bit 'anxiety,' along with sleep-well during the nights. Try to avoid any 'stimulants' as much as possible, because they exacerbates your Bp in general.
Lastly, if you never been on Zyprexa, try to talk to your pdoc. at your next appt., because a majority of Bp II has a good success/relief after taking the Zyprexa. Also, Lithium and Zyprexa combo. is one of the 'best' meds. for Bp II.
