In reply to Anhedonia Sufferers??, posted by Shane M on December 8, 2003, at 19:43:27
> I've suffered with anhedonia for the past 8 years. I would like to know what medications have been helpful to anyone for treating anhedonia symptoms specifically. ex. apathy, lack of emotion, loss of sexual interest.. Below are the medications I have taken with minimal success so far. Any information would be appreciated.

I used Amantadine to counteract the symptoms you describe, inertia etc.
It worked well for improving my alertness, wakefulness, drive/motivation, and went some way toward mitigating a (60mg) prozac induced sexual disinterest and incapability.
Unfortunately, it worsened my depressive symptoms considerably, but, like Wellbutrin for example, many people find it has a sound antidepressant effect.
Worth considering I'd say.Best,
El Jerk.
