IMO, I think Buspar helps some people, but it's usually not dramatic when it does so. Because of both of these factors, I think Buspar gets somewhat of a bad reputation. But I DO think it's effects can be more than placebo, it's just that many people aren't willing to give it a full chance. This is understandable when your anxiety is causing you very immediate problems.
