You get an imbalance of electrolytes when you drink more water than your body needs, causing different symptoms like dizziness, muscle weakness &/or twitching, fatigue, confusion. Your body will flush out electrolytes (important dissolved minerals in ionic form in your body fluids), the most important one being sodium, causing these symptoms. It's not so much the amount of water that causes the problem as the imbalance instead.
