> Am I imagining things or can benzos at a low dose have an anti-depressive effect? The reason that I ask is because the only times drugs have been helpfull with me is when I was also taking a benzo too.
My doctor told me that xanax or other drugs in the benzodiazepines family affect the central nervous system, and can make you calmer. I have taken xanax for over 12 years, since I suffer from panic disorder. I also suffer from major depression. The benzodiaxepines make me feel as if I have no energy, I have accepted this as a decent pay off to panic attacks, which put my life on hold. Benzodiaxepines are extremely addictive and if I would have known this 12 years ago, I might have tried other treatment options. I probably will have to go into drug rehab when I can no longer take xanax. I try not to think about this too much.
Life can be good just the way it is, for now!
Take Care,
Becky
