I quit Effexor approximately 3 years ago. I took it for only about 6 months. I quit because of the unreasonable side-effects I was experiencing. Within a 3 month period I put on 30 pounds (I never had weight issues EVER in my life prior to this). My memory is horrible as a result of the drug. Even after 3 years of being off it, my memory is still poor and I have been unable to lose the weight. I still experience strange "brain spikes" (these were incredible while I was going through the withdrawals). I have been permanently damaged from this drug. My quality of life has been lessened as a result. I am looking to participate in a class action law-suit.
