Zyprexa is an antipsychotic. Don't let the word antipsychotic scare you. To me Zyprexa is actually considerably milder than antidepressants, and yet far more effective in producing a well rounded response. Remeron is a norepinephrine and serotonin antagonist. Zyprexa is a dopamine and serotonin antagonist. On paper it is very similar to antidepressants. You need not be psychotic or schizophrenic to do well with Zyprexa.

I like your idea of trying the Xanax. Hopefully you will like it. If not though, you might want to keep Zyprexa in mind.
