Judy,
Initially it was for people who were feeling unsafe on this board, but the threat was more from other posters then. After a while, when things calmed down, it became somewhat more social. And, one thing I like for the purpose of the ASH group, is that new members are known to at least one active member of the group. I think that has helped very much to keep it feeling safe.Shar
