> My wife has bipolar disorder. As you can imagine, it has caused quite a strain on our household and I was wondering if you could suggest a site on the net where one might interact with others as an alternative to therapy. I don't mean to completely eliminate therapy but as my finances do not permit me to afford as much therapy as I,perhaps, should be providing for my wife and child as well as self, I am interested in talking with others with similar circumstances.

my wife also has bipolar, and yes,i know the feeling .at times it is like walking on eggshells.for me,anyway,it swings from her not being able to look after any of the housework so i have to do it all and not going anywhere or even showering very often to keeping the house almost hospital clean and never wanting to sit down, stay still, stay home,or relax!the worst part is these swings seem natural to her and she cant understand why i cant keep up with her highs!! i have learned various methods of coping but in the end i am left wondering how long this can go on and how soon before i have my first heart attack trying to keep up (or down) with her. thnks,Blair Doggett
