Posted by B2chica on February 20, 2006, at 14:45:50

i'm planning on going off all my medications in march, my hubby and i have decided to try for children and i want to be cleaned out. now my pdoc is great and i trust him. but i wanted to know from users what i might expect.
i'm on:
ritalin 20LA
wellbutrin XL 450
zoloft 100
zyprexa 10
xanax 2mg
ambien PRN 10-20mg

my pdoc mentioned wanting me to have a regimine and lots of structure in my life when i do this and that i will slow down a lot.

just wondering what you all thought...
advice...
warnings?...

thanks in advance

===Hey, I just noticed you here. That is a lot of meds to go off. Do you mean starting in March, finished by March? I think the ambien may give some rebound insomnia, and the xanax like all benzos can cause withdrawal symptoms. I've gone off Zoloft and zyprexa before, but remember nothing about it. Doesn't mean it wasn't bad, just I don't remember.

I'm glad you are working with your pdoc. I hope you do a safe tapering off. Congrats on your child decision.

I'm just lurking here on the withdrawal board for no particular reason.

Hey B2Chica, from what i understand and have read, it is most beneficial to taper the benzo and ambien first. Then the rest later. Be careful and go slow (im withdrawing from klonopin).

Brian

>Hello B2 Chica:
Glad to hear you are going to get all that crap out of your system.. It will not be wise to have all that in your system if you are pregnant.. Im curious as to why soo many drugs??!!! Im finding that alot here.. I am weaning off my Remeron.. wished I had never got into this world of antidepressants. I have found that acupuncture is far superior to any drug... the body was made to heal itself and not masked by drugs.. Try this for withdrawl management . It has helped me.

Hi my name is Laura. I recently decided to go off my medication. Effexor. The first two weeks I was having many withdrawl symptoms then a friend told me about Isagenix. Its a program of detoxing your body while feeding it with mega nutrients. I did a nine day cleanse, my blood pressure is now normal, I am having next to no withdrawl symptoms and I feel great and full of energy. I have lost 7 pounds and 12 inches. The average person has 5-9 pounds of toxins in our bodies. My Doctor said that the cleansing was a great idea especially after going off medication. We change the oil in our cars and trucks and do maintenance check ups, but what do we do for our bodies? This makes sense and it has really helped me. I bought the products wholesale and for a small additional one time fee of 39. you get your own website. If you would like more info go to my website at www.laurahiler.isagenix.com I would recommend this to you to help avoid withdrawl symptoms. The 30 day cleanse is the best and is worth every penny in good health.Good luck. Please keep me posted

I have ulcerative colitis. that means that I have loose bloody stools on a regular basis. I also take many supplements. Maybe that gives me the same effect.

I'll buy something from you if you'll buy something from me. My info is somewhere on this site, I can't remember where. I think that if you suck on vitamins one at a time. while using metamuckil to keep them in your body, you can change your entire ph. I try. Let me know if you come up with anything else.
