Hello everyone,
I recently weaned myself off of Xanax, by using Klonopin, 2mg per day.
I was just curious if the side effects of discontinuing this drug are as bad/serious as Xanax?
If so, does anyone know I good method to wean myself off of Klonopin?
Thank you so much,
Best Wishes,
Violet4EVR

i just weaned myself of Xanax too, but i only used regular Xanax to do it, i used klonopin before and weaned off it and it was no way as tough to get off from like xanax, so my experience is that it is easier to taper off klonopin than xanax, the nice thing about klonopin is that you can break apart the tablet as small as you like as you taper off it, i used xanax-xr which is great to use but sucks to taper off because you can't break it apart and i used regular xanax tabs which work faster and stop working faster than xanax-xr

Hi Violet
Scott (SLS), I think, had some good stuff to say about this somewhere. I think you need to organize your doseage so it only just works and is followed by small amounts of tolerable withdrawal until the next dose. At the same time you do whatever you can to make yourself more resilient. Exercise, of course, vitamins and in particular C and niacinamide (maybe 1g/d), and to prevent any shortfalls, B complex, but not in the latter part of the day so you can sleep properly, and herbs such as skullcap, zizyphus, withania,(these agree with me but YMMV). That said I havn't got over it either, but things could be worse I s'pose. Good luck.
