I am going to see The Kings Speech, Black Swan, and Incendies (French movie). I am looking forward to seeing them. The last thing I saw at the cinema was Cannes Festival of International Commmercials.
Has anyone seeing any good movies? Maybe we could get a review list going. I love going to the movies. It is expensive, but it's way to escape for me. Watching movies in the living room doesn't do it for me.

I loved Inside Job, the documentary about Wall Street and the financial crisis. It was amazing what people said in front of a camera. I'm told the Fighter is really good. I've heard good things about 127 Hours, but the thought of seeing it freaks me out.

I really like the King's Speech. Great acting and interesting story of friendship that develops between two men of different classes.
It's really engrossing, with no violence or special effects.

I would like to see Inside Job, but I don't know if it is playing here or not. I think 127 hours would freak me out as well.

I saw the movie Waterboy with Adam Sandler on New years eve. For the first time. It was funny! Oh, and I saw the new Harry Potter (and the Deathly hallows), which was a.w.e.s.o.m.e!!! :)
I want to see the movie Country Strong with Gwynyth Paltrow. I love movies too Maxime. Good way to escape, and just have fun.

I don't know why I didn't go and see the new Harry Potter movie. I think because I became bored with it or something. I really should see it.I was supposed to go Black Swan, but I fell asleep at home and I missed it. I will go tomorrow for sure. I am back to work on Thursday so I want to see a movie Tomorrow and one on Tuesday.

I saw the King's Speech today and it was SO good. It was just the escape I needed. Tomorrow I will go to see Black Swan. I know that it is a dark movie, but I still really want to see it.

"Unstoppable" wasn't epic - - - just good old fashion entertainment. We took our 12 year old son and he was on the edge of his seat - and the time flew by.

I'm so glad you enjoyed the King's Speech!
I wish there were more movies like that where you learn things, and there's a story that focuses on the characters-- not special effects and gruesome stalkers. There were so many great actors in it too. I even liked Helena Bonham Carter, whom I usually don't enjoy.
I was especially interested because my bf haa a slight stutter--- for which he has finally gotten therapy-- and it gave me a little insight into the way he had felt very hampered in social situations. He talked a but more about it than usual-- and said that he had many of the same feelings as the King-- even though his stutter is almost not noticeable except when he's under stress.
I'll be curious about the Black Swan. I can't quite get myself to go, although a dancer friend of mine said that, despite the absurdity of some of the psychological drama, it really did depict a lot of very real things in the training and careers of dancers. I really would like to see it for that reason-- maybe I'll go and leave before the ending...
Are you still planning to go?
Wilfull

A friend took me to see Burlesque tonight to try and get my mind off things. It was pretty good, not great, just good.
This is the end of the thread.
