Join the club. Bloody dumpy club though!
You might want to ask your dentist to mold you a bite-guard thing - you're wearing down your teeth and adding to your problems with the grinding. I've been a bruxer since I had teeth to grind, and I've worn out several guards since I started using them. They're expensive (and don't even bother to try the over-the-counter ones, they can cause bite/jaw problems), over a hundred US dollars, but you only have one set of your own teeth.
I need to try my relaxation exercises again. Do you do stuff like that at all?

Hi,
thk for reply...
Been thinking about the teeth guard... but surely I'd still ahve hafl the problems cos I'd then just clench against the guard?? can't afford one at the moment though!
I ahve just started deep muscle relaxation... I saw a "teacher" who did 2 sessions with me and made me a tape of it but I'm finding it very difficult... espcially at 4am!!!
Maybe I'll do the relaxation again once a friend has left (typical - we never get visitors... the one night I'm awake till 9am a friend turns up at 10am!!)

Hi Nikki,
ask your dentist if you can pay for a bite guard (and other work) on a monthly plan. If you're a bruxer, a lot of dentist would make you a guard and let you pay $10/month or something ... it would save you a lot of money on dental care in the long run.
relaxation, yeah, so hard to do when it's most necessary. like exercise.
how're you doing?
