Dr. Bob, I may have enough money to go to Hawaii even without a job. I spend too much now. I'll have to rein in my spending. I'm really tempted to just buy the tickets now LOL. I think I have a good chance of at least getting some type of job soon. I'm willing to work minimum wage.
Babblers, please come to Hawaii with me. I wouldn't want to be alone with Dr. Bob, it might be awkward. LOL I'm sure Dr. Bob doesn't want to be alone with me.
There's going to be a Babble Party in the middle of May in Honolulu, Hawaii. It's going to be so fun! Please come with me.
Dr. Bob, how long will you stay in Hawaii? What days are you staying? I want to stay as long as possible because plane tickets are really expensive. I'm thinking 2 weeks.
I found a nice cheap hostel to stay at for $32/night. Another Babbler can stay with me. There will be two beds in one room. Female Babblers only please! We can make it even cheaper! LOL
Let me know if you want to share a room.
I plan on not going out to eat to save money. I plan on eating mostly rice and beans during my stay with the occasional treat. I'll have to find low cost things to do everyday too. Hanging out on the beach sounds fun.
I want to go to Hawaii so badly!
Please come with me!

Sorry, a Babbler told me that I was anything but convincing other Babblers to go to Honolulu with my posts. I really didn't understand, but I think I do now.
I don't just want you to go to Hawaii to be a chaperone, I'd really like to spend time with you! I will probably be spending a few hours with Dr. Bob in my 2 weeks of being in Hawaii so most of my time will be spent with you!
It'll be so fun! Com'on, it's paradise! I hope you won't be embarrased by me having to wear a lifejacket though. LOL I still can't really swim. It's going to be soooooo fun! Please come with me! Life is short!

Hawaii is so expensive that I'm not sure it is worth it to go alone anymore. Of course I want to see Dr. Bob, but really I'd only probably see him for 2 days.
The thing is, what if I get lonely? If I go to Hawaii, I'd like to stay for at least 2 weeks. What if I end up hating the hostel and get sad, lonely and depressed all by myself?
I'd be all alone with no help. What if I have another meltdown?
Maybe I should spend my money on an all inclusive cruise instead.
I wish Hawaii wasn't so expensive.
I dunno. Life is short though.
Maybe I can do a Babble trip without Dr. Bob, but with other Babblers.
We can go some place cheaper.

>Dened, you were so excited about Hawaii that I didn't want to burst your bubble. But you are only going to be working 20 hours a week at minimum wage. I don't see how you could save up enough money to go to Hawaii. Maybe you don't have many expenses and you save most of what you earn, but still. Also, did you take out a student loan? Because that sucker will start charging you interest 6 months from when you got your degree. Whatever you do don't get into more debt to travel. It's not worth it.

As it turns out, the company that hired me sort of lied a bit. They said the job was 20 hours a week, but what they really meant was a MINIMUM of 20 hours a week. Apparently they are really swamped with work right now and everyone needs to work a minimum of 20 hours. I'm working 38 hours this week. I don't have any debt at all. I think I can afford Hawaii, the question is, is the expense worth it to see Dr. Bob for 2 days?
I'd like to put money into my tax free savings account too, but then again we only live once!

That's great about work. Are you happy that you will have more hours? And how did you get through school with no debt? You know, Hawaii is a beautiful place to visit if you can afford it. There are so many islands to see. Are you scared of travelling on your own? I love travelling on my own because I always meet so many people that way.

>Yeah, I like that I have more hours. I stretched out my classes a lot. I would only take like 1 or 2 classes a semester and I worked part time. That plus my parents helped me out with tuition at first before I went part time.
I've travelled on my own. I've gone to Toronto, Washington D.C, San Francisco and New Orleans to meet Babblers so far. It's always a lot of fun!
Hmmm...now that I think about it, I don't think Hawaii will be that much more expensive than San Francisco because I'll be staying in a cheap hostel this time, plus I really indulged myself in San Francisco.
This is the end of the thread.
