Posting on the Medication board has been very slow of recent.
Why do you think this is?
I can't tell if people have been dropping out entirely or if everyone remains visible, but posts less frequently.
Do you think that the formal announcement that our behavior is to be observed as part of a study is contributing to this?

Could be that the board has a lot of MAOI threads..could be a lot of sarcasm, could be a lot of negative posts, could be winter, could be a lot of technical posts which can be intimidating to newcomers..could be a lot of very specific posts asking specific questions, but no real background of the poster..hmmmm..could be..I've been trying to put my finger on what's changed..but something has and I have a feeling of uneasiness..
That's my observations, for what it's worth!!

It shouldn't be, as that isn't the case. In fact, my understanding, per Dr. Bob, is quite different. See:

Yesterday and today my computer hasn't been able to bring up the medication board on psychobabble -- I can get the other subjects' boards that I've tried, such as this one and psychology, but not the main/med board! I keep getting a window saying "page cannot be found" and "unknown error - 1." I wonder if others are having this problem.

No, I don't think it's you at all. You are a rock of that community.
For me, just knowing the study is going on has made me feel less inclined to respond at times because I'm not sure who is who anymore.
I kind of like what Justherself54 said: "could be a lot of very specific posts asking specific questions, but no real background of the poster." That definitely struck a chord with me.

It seems like it must be more than that. I just looked at the meds board-- and it was as if it came abruptly to a dead stop.
I was utterly baffled. I suppose lots of little things could culminate in a large change-- but somehow it seems as if there must be some other reason, Maybe not-- though-- if no one can think of one.
But I'm still really taken aback. I certainly hope things pick up.

Okay, so after I posted, I checked back on the Meds board, and there were a gazillion "new" posts, many from the last few days, which weren't there the last time I checked-- which was earlier today.
I haven't been here much in the last month, so maybe that somehow is connected to my personal experience-- but something is not making sense to me-- barring some technical glitch.

What am I not seeing that others do? I see something like 250+ posts over the last 3-4 days...I didn't literally count, that's just a rough sweep of my eyes, knowing about how many lines fit on a "page" on my screen (so it isn't including new posts to threads up high on the board)....is that not average, normal or good? And it seems like lots of new threads and posters, too.
But, of course I'd I have to know what "lots" is for this board, and I really have no idea. I go there sometimes for specific topics, or as a deputy, but I never pay any attention to volume. You guys are the experts, for sure. Is this number of posts really "dead" compared to usual?

The things I saw were
1. Logged in, time 1: saw very few new posts on Meds board since some time in Dec.2. logged in time 2, same day, several hours later: saw 250+ posts from last few days, which is a great plethora, and much more than usual in a few days, and a lot of other posts that had not been there, from periods before last week, since the time in Dec. (where there had previously the same day been almost no posts)
My first post was written after seeing the board at time 1; my second post was written after seeing the board at time 2. I found both the dearth and the plethora to be so unusual as to suggest something odd. And I found both of them, on the same day, to be even more unusual. (Note that I hadn't visited pbabble much in the intervening period, so I don't know how that affected my cookies, cache, etc.)

Must have been an "old" version of your page the first time - a cached one, I'm thinking. Because I did notice you said that, and I had also logged onto the Meds board several times on the same day and the same posts were there both earlier and later.
I usually am on that board at least 2-3x per day, maybe 4-5 hours apart each time, and posts are appearing as they are posted, as far as I see.
No worries, well, at least not technical ones.

Hmm...
New posts on Med board for each date, not counting yours or any admin posts:
Jan 18th - 118
Jan 19th - 112
Jan 20th - 60
Jan 21st - 55
Jan 22nd (so far, the night is young....at least in PST!) = 46A couple of those days sure were quiet.
So I take it this is far less than normal?
Hopefully just a trend, and will pick back up.
We don't want Scott posting any other body parts off....he'll fall to pieces!!
