I figured out something today. I think what I have is anticipatory anxiety. I fear doing things in head. But then when doing them it's okay? So what does one do for this. Would self talk or meds be the options? Thanks Phillipa

Tensor thanks just read now. I guess I do have it plus GAD. Went away for years when in school and working. Now it's back but since playing with meds it's becoming more apparant to me that I do indeed have this. Phillipa

CBT or DBT I think.
Medications may also help. Sometimes just knowing I have medications help it, because part of what I fear is becoming unbearably anxious. Knowing I have a way to stop unbearable anxiety helps with anticipatory anxiety perhaps more than actually taking the medication does.
This is the end of the thread.
