What about Trileptal?
Trileptal (oxcarbazepine) can reduce episodes of anger, aggression, and impulsivity.

Well, do they get you angry??
You said it's in reaction to particular people? Nurses in command?

Your efforts to remain positive and constructive despite so many treatment failures are heroic.Keep trying.

Intrusive thoughts of harming another person are a common symptom of OCD. There are reports of OCD emerging after being given Lamictal. Hopefully this will eventually stop after the Lamictal is discontinued.
I am sorry you are in distress. I hope you will find some way to feel better.
ways a taught i never act on it,

> - ScottI'm not sure this type of thing is necessarily related to anger, aggression or impulsivity. I think it might fall under the banner of negative intrusive thoughts.
I have experienced something similar, but the thought is too ugly and sickening to print. In my case I also felt like I had to do certain behaviours (mainly checking things) in response, even though logically it didn't make sense to have to do those things.
The thought felt completely alien to me, that it wasn't something that came from within. Like for Jeroen, it was something that I know I would never, ever do, though at the same time it FELT like I would do it because the thought was attacking me with such ferocity. It's hard to explain the distinction.
Does this sound like what is going on, Jeroen, minus the part of having to do a particular behaviour in response?
I have read it's not uncommon for people without a mental illness to have intrusive negative thoughts, but they just think "oh, there's that strange disturbing thought again" and go on with their lives. It doesn't make you a bad person to have these thoughts, but it can be hard not to feel like it doesn't.

Funny, I have a lot of these, now that I think about it.
I hope these get better for you, jeroen. They can be disturbing.

This is an OCD symptom and may be triggered by the Lamictal-several case studies have demonstrated the development of OCD symptoms in users of Lamictal who are diagnosed as Bipolar 2.
Stop taking the lamictal.

yea eric is right this is an OCD symptoms even thought it doesnt sound like it...its the compulsion to do things that are not normal, intruding thoughts of repetative thoughts.
I don't know if this is the best advice but yea you should try something that will suppress these thoughts but usally to completely block them it would also block regular thinking. Have you heard of Invega...?? i think it would be vary helpful in this case...
this is some advice on my personal episodes with this...you gotta say to your self something that is going to distract you from thinking this...say something like "better...better...better" tricking your mind into the thinking its getting better and then it evnetually leaves...its suggestion principle. Do that...distract yourself from these thoughts, keep saying to yourself your getting better even thought you may not...it will have big diffrence on how your mind filters what it feels.
