I got an annoying printout at the pharmacy...

Opinions?
It was a printout with a graph indicating how regularly I filled my prescriptions. The thing is, the data isn't accurate since I've used different pharmacies.
I got a 63% over the past bunch of months. I feel graded. It makes me feel rebellious. ;-)
Shouldn't I be the one to monitor how regularly I take my medications?
Is this a helpful tool?

I have mixed feelings about this. I do tend to get sloppier about refills if I'm relapsing and I don't usually realize it right away. Of course in that case I wouldn't be at the pharmacy to see the nice little graph anyway.

However mostly my reaction is like yours - it is no more their business than it's my grocery stores business that I am now buying my milk elsewhere or not at all. I suspect this is mainly some kind of twisted marketing data that only benefits the store. And if I ever am given something like that my response will likely be to make sure that I rotate my prescriptions as much as possible so that their data is worthless. And perhaps see if there are other weaknesses in their system. For instance what happnes if you call in a refill and then leave it uncollected until they reshelve it?

A 63% huh? That really is offensive.

It probably is a twisted marketing ploy.
