OK guys, that graveyard shift I did *really* screwed me up. Emotionally flat and cranky during the day yesterday, and woke up at 2:30 this morning.
So, I have to work Saturday (tomorrow). Was wondering, since the Ambien CR didn't seem to do a thing other than put me in mild sleep for a few hours - if I should try 1/2 a melatonin to reset my cycle.
Unless I over-caffeinate, there's a nap in my future today. I need to be well rested for work.
Options: Caffeinate as per usual, nap, water, a little more caffeine during the early to mid afternoon, and an ambien CR as usual at night.
2. The above, except with 1/2 a melatonin pill at bedtime.
WILL NOT take graveyard shifts again. I have really messed with my sleep schedule.. not happy. I will be going to the gym today for sure, because I am stressed about this. Xanax only does so much!

At the time I did them very briefly as had same problem. Even downing four beers didn't allow sleep for more than four hours. I felt sick the whole time at 5am at work would feel nauseaus. Some adjust some don't. I would think melatonin would be kind of a one time deal to reset body clock if had traveled and now back home ready to assume regular schedule. That you can excercise sure says something for your stamina. Phillipa

Try Rozerem. Its a melatonin synthesist and has a little more kick than regular melatonin.
