What are your experiences with these as augmentors in treating depression? Is one of them to prefer?

Buspirone has more potential to be effective as an augmenter of antidpressants. I guess you already know that buspirone and pindolol do opposite things at 5-HT1a receptors. Pindolol has been reported to speed-up the response to SRI drugs, but does not increase the response rate. Buspirone does. You need to take into consideration that buspirone has a major metabolite that acts as a NE alpha2 antagonist, a property shared with mirtazapine (Remeron). You get two drugs in one with buspirone.

There is one study that showed rapid onset of antidepressant action for buspirone and pindolol TOGETHER. I tried adding pindolol to my buspirone (and my sertraline, and my ziprasidone) a while ago, but it made my blood pressure sink so low that I felt completely out of it for a few days. Talking about having two drugs in one..
