Pindolol has been reported to speed-up the response to SRI drugs, but does not increase the response rate. Buspirone does. You need to take into consideration that buspirone has a major metabolite that acts as a NE alpha2 antagonist, a property shared with mirtazapine (Remeron). You get two drugs in one with buspirone. It really is a crime that gepirone was not approved. It acts like buspirone, only without the dopamine receptor blockade.
