I am wondering if the fact that I always feel really terrible after working out has to do with my meds.
Lamictal 200 mg
Lexapro 10 mg
Xanax up to .75 mg a day in .25 increments
BCP (this I know isn't doing it)I always feel really weak and nauseated. I drink plenty of water and stretch and do all the things I think I should, but I feel really awful for about 2-3 hours afterwards. I never had all this before Lamictal (which is what I am suspecting). Has anyone else had this?

How rigorous is your workout? Everyday? I ride 7.5 miles daily but am old but it's the only thing that wakes me up . Going to ride now then I will be exhausted. Mine won't go away. I don't think it's meds are you in shape? I was on low dose lamictal last summer didn't interfer with my riding. But that's me. Phillipa

I'm not particularly in shape, but I'm far from overweight or completely sallow. And this isn't normal post-workout pain... this is worse. This is like joint aches, nausea, and non-proportional fatigue. This is nothing like just being out of shape. This goes far beyond that.
Almost 10 hours later, and I still hurt and all I did was 20 minutes on a stairclimber. Last weekend, I worked out with a trainer, and I almost didn't move the rest of the day. I couldn't even take a shower, because I felt like I was going to pass out.
This is not good.

Bonnie no it is not good. I think the doctor needs to do a physical with complete blood work. Could you be sick? Phillipa

Probably not sick, but I'm thinking I'm going to make an appointment tomorrow. I'm worried that maybe I'm building up toxins because my liver is on overload. I dunno, it's probably not even that, but I need to find out.

It is probably the combination of the increase in endorphins after your workouts that is enhancing the effects of your medication. I would think that the culprit would be the xanax, and not so much the lamictal. Why don't you try cutting back on the xanax the days you exercise and see what happens.Polarbear

>I might do that. I hadn't thought of what you suggested. But I've also had joint pain when I haven't worked out. I made a doctor appointment for the 20th.
At least I don't get migraines anymore. (knock on wood)
