Does anything really work long term for insomnia??

I am so tired of being so tired. Does anything work long term for insomnia? And does Lamictal make insomnia worse? Thanks

I just started lamictal only on 25mg and take it at night with valium and I'm sleeping. Taking it for depression. What is your dose and what are you taking it for? Love Phillipa

I've been taking Klonopin for several years for anxiety and insomnia. Even a small dose helps me sleep. I haven't built up a tolerance to it at all.

Seroquel at 25-50 mg is relatively effective for me and doesn't seem to have any noticeable tolerance issues. People here seem to vary in their reactions to Lamictal. For me, it had no effect on sleep.

This is just my opinion. But I don't believe ANYTHING works for insomnia long term ... in pill or liquid form. I do believe however, that learning relaxation techniques, self-hypnosis and meditation can.

I'm just learning the self-hypnosis now.

I think meds are good to help you get back into a proper sleep cycle.

Lamictal made my insomnia worse. Seroquel 100 mg works for sleep and has continued to work for the last several months for me. I sleep like a babe.
