I'm been feeling dizzy, and today even a bit nauseated. The unfortunate thing is that I increased my dose of Seroquel from 400 to 600mg at the same time that I started 25mg Topamax. I'm thinking of going up on the Topamax tonight. Do you think I'll get more dizzy?

How long have you been taking the 25mg of topamax? If it's not been at least two weeks, I would suggest not going up until then. Please don't increase it anymore than 25mg every two weeks, due to the side effects. Consult you doctor, as always. I know, we become to accustomed to taking these meds that we think we know what we're doing, but remember to be careful. I can always count on the members here to keep me grounded and in-line! The topamax can make you dizzy at first, but that should cease in a few days. Maybe feel as if you have the flu? Take care.-L

With your above Thread the dizzyness could also be related to the heartbeat. See your doc. Fondly, Phillipa

Topomax causes dizziness for me and nausia especially when I am increasing in dose. It is best to increase your dose in increments of 25mg every 2 weeks. I found out the hard way that Topomax is a very powerful drug and it must be respected. Going up too fast can cause some unwanted side effects, along with the dizzines and nausia, I've experienced mood swings (crying spells), forgetfulness, speech/word finding problems, tremors. I realized that going up in dose slowly reduces these side affects. merry
