Wellbutrin and Ritalin come to mind. You could also ask your pdoc about dopamine agonists like Mirapex.

Generally dopamine antagonists are poor ADs by themselves, in adjunctive therapy you may want to consider Permax, Wellbutrin, other stims etc.

Of the SSRI's, Zoloft blocks the dopamine reuptake pump stronger than the others. Effexor has weak activity there. Prozac's metabolite also has some influence. Provigil has DA reuptake blocking properties. The obesity med Meridia blocks the DA reuptake pumps as well.

>Of the SSRI's Zoloft and Prozac were my favorites because I had more energy than the other SSRI's-was more active, motivated, involved with more projects. Unfortunately, those two meds have been the harshest on my stomach and I can't tolerate them...

Ritch:
That's interesting. I'm curious about other drugs since I'm currently on 60 mg Celexa, and have never been so tired!
I'm thinking of either augmenting or switching to Zoloft.
Did Zoloft and Prozac cause insomnia? What do you take now?

Yes, they both caused quite a bite of sleep disturbance. However, those two also have the longest half-lives of the SSRI's as well. I am on just a tiny dose of Effexor (12.5mg/day), along with other meds for bipolar. It seems the shorter half-life of Effexor works ok, because I can sleep better.
