Hi Angela,
I hate why did you leave your last job. Especially when for me the true answer was either I was fired for no good reason or I went into a major depression and quit.
In both cases I use "it wasn't a good fit." Now, some evil interviewers will push and ask why wasn't it a good fit, in which case I say "I don't believe in saying negative things about a former employer, all I'll say is that it was not a good work environment."
I'm a pro at lying about gaps in employment. Were you in school at anytime during the two years? In which case you say you were lucky that you could take time off work to complete your education. Otherwise I say "I was caring for a family member, I don't foresee needing to be the primary caregiver again."
I'm working part-time right now and I really need fulltime wages and I dread the thought of interviewing again. I like what I'm doing, I'm good at what I'm doing, the boss is just cheap. Argh. Sorry for the rant.
